Thank you for your interest in Story Listening and for your service to vulnerable language learners. Story Listening requires nothing but a board, a story, and a knowledgeable teacher. Learn more about Story Listening online courses available to volunteer teachers.

What?

We will offer an online Story Listening course for beginning teachers. Instruction is appropriate for beginning teachers, with the first weeks covering the basics of second language acquisition. More details on the semester-long curriculum are available upon request.

Where?

Private online forms allow small-group exchanges and forums for questioning and reflecting as you try out the method in your classroom.  Groups are divided by language: English, French, and German.

Who?

Online courses are lead by experienced language teachers with training in Story Listening and using Comprehension-Based Reaching. This professional development is offered at no cost to volunteer teachers with priority to those serving refugee and displaced persons. If you are a paid teacher serving  an under-served or under-developed community and you accept a lower salary as a consequence, you may also qualify.
